ABOUT

"Music from the 50s through to the 2000s, laugh, sing, clap, shout (abuse or otherwise) but know that he never forgets where he came from and passionately wants to help people who can't help themselves. "
- Rob Oliphant -
Rob was born in Redcar UK, grey, industrial and working class when working class meant working without any hope of improvement.
Rob, and his buddies play fake instruments in a darkened parents front room fuelled by stolen bottles of anything that was in the drinks cabinet (Campari should be banned - it sucks taken neat). They made a pact that at Christmas they would all buy instruments, only Rob kept the pact and that's when it all started. He left the fake front room and joined his 1st band at 16, barely able to play a note but with belief.

Rob was in several bands all trying to be the next big thing, a few records, some large venues and a sniff at the illusive prize that was fame. Influenced by artists such as David Bowie, Sex Pistols, Depeche Mode he developed an eclectic portfolio of influences.

Fast forward a few, few years ....
Rob is walking in Sacramento and starts talking to some of the homeless folks on the pavement, he is deeply moved by their plight and decides to play for the homeless. Rob plays music from the 50s through to the 2000s, laugh, sing, clap, shout (abuse or otherwise) but know that he never forgets where he came from and passionately wants to help people who can't help themselves.
